La Poesia
Like its siblings Bar de Cao, El Federal and Cafe Margot, La Poesia does a great job of being notable.
They all have the dark wood, ancient-looking table, hams hanging above the bar, half decent house beer and the ubiquitous peanuts in a basket, and it all works.
The 4 bars are all a bit samey, but compared to some of the so-called Notable Bars that have been modernised and homogenised, La Poesia and its ilk are undoubtably some of the best and most accessible examples of what a Buenos Aires bar should be.
